HERB BEEF WITH WHITE SAUCE
This is my first time cooking with herbs. I was really inspired by this pinoy cook Ms. Connie and i really love her website . Actually I stumbled upon her blog when I was looking for a recipe of a custard cake.
Honestly I am not that good as a cook but I love experimenting and I am also good at following instructions.
This is a pasta dish, i think it's better to use fettuccine but i only have spaghetti in my pantry, so I guess it will work. The sauce is more of like an Alfredo a white creamy sauce. We love to eat it with butter toast bread. Well i guess this dish was a success kulilits and my hubby loved it.
Ingredients
1 package of spaghetti pasta cooked following package directions
1/2 lbs of beef (cooked with herbs)
1 tbsp butter
1 tsp minced garlic
1 small bottle of sliced mushroom buttons
1 can cream of mushroom
1 can water( I used the cream of mushroom can)
1 can nestle cream
1/4 cup shredded cheese
1. Prepare the beef with these herb and spices.
Mix ground beef with 1 tsp salt,1/2 tsp ground black pepper, 1 tsp sugar, 1/4 tsp paprika, 1 tbsp minced garlic and 1 tbsp mixed herb (I used thyme, oregano and rosemary). Cook it in a pan until all the juices evaporates and the meat is lightly brown.
2. Saute garlic in butter. Then put in the cooked beef with herbs. Cook for a few mins.
3. Add the mushroom, then the cream of mushroom and water. Let it simmer for about 3 mins.
4. Then add nestle cream and simmer for another minute or two. Add cheese and stir until it's melted. Once the cheese melts it's ready to serve.
I said i love to experiment so this is my version of Casa Veneracion spaghetti ala stroganoff, If you want the original recipe here's the link. SPAGHETTI A LA STROGANOFF
